Trisha Yearwood (born Patricia Lynn Yearwood in Monticello, Georgia on September 19, 1964) is an American country singer, author, and actress. She is most popular for her ballads about vulnerable young women. Her music has been described by some critics as “strong” and “confident.” In 2000 Trisha was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. She is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Under MCA Nashville, Yearwood released her self-titled debut album in 1991. Its lead single titled “She’s in Love with the Boy,” peaked at number one on the Billboard Country Chart in late 1991, bringing her national success. That album also made Trisha the first female artist to sell a million copies of her first album. In 1992, Yearwood released her second studio album, Hearts in Armor, which was critically acclaimed. In total, Trisha has released 11 studio albums and has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide. She has won three Grammy Awards, three Country Music Association Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, an American Music Award, and a Pollstar Industry Award for touring. But music isn’t Trisha’s only passion. She has also ventured into writing, releasing three successful cookbooks, which earned her the status of two-time New York Times best-selling author. And since April 2012, Trisha has hosted a culinary series on Food Network titled Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, for which she has won an Emmy Award. In 2016 it was announced that Trisha would be playing the role of Mary in Fox’s musical, The Passion.

Personal Life:
Trisha Yearwood has been married three times. Her and her first husband, Chris Latham, married in 1987 and divorced in 1991. On May 21, 1994 she married Robert Reynolds, or Bobby, a bass player for the country music group The Mavericks; they divorced in 1999. Garth Brooks, Trisha’s current husband, had been good friends with Trisha long before either of them became famous. In 2000, after Garth filed for divorce from his estranged wife Sandy Mahl, they began dating. Trisha ended up taking a four-year hiatus from music. On May 25, 2005, Brooks proposed to Yearwood in front of 7,000 fans in Bakersfield, California and she accepted without hesitation. On December 10, 2005, they were married in a private ceremony at the couple’s home in Owasso, Oklahoma.
